All workshops are FREE to attend unless otherwise stated. See the Event Schedule to know the timeslots of each workshop and talk. No pre-booking is required; workshops operate on a first-come, first-served basis.

See description of the activities you are interested in for details of what to bring. For example some workshops recommend wearing comfortable clothing, footwear or to bring swimwear, towel and a yoga mat.

FREE Workshop: A Celebration of Movement & Wellbeing

GROOVE

Step into a feel-good dance experience at MIND. BODY. SOUL where movement becomes a form of wellbeing. Groove IOW invites you to move freely, express yourself and reconnect with joy. Think silent disco; no choreography, no pressure, just music, rhythm and presence. Free to join and open to all ages, abilities and bodies, this is wellness in motion, where everyone belongs on the dance floor. Headphones are provided, just bring a coat and sensible footwear in case Groove takes your groove outdoors.

FREE workshop: WOMB CONNECTION AND HEALING

ELIZABETH ROWLINSON

Led by Elizabeth Rowlinson, Transpersonal Psychotherapist and Astrological Psychologist with nearly two decades of experience, this free taster workshop is for women of any age with or without a womb (the energy of the womb is still present) and men who would like to connect to their hara, their feminine power centre. The womb is an ancient centre of consciousness, feminine power, deep inner knowing and creativity. The balance of the masculine and feminine has been distorted for eons. By connecting to the womb we start to embody, reclaim and honour feminine strengths and power which are different and equal to the masculine. The womb holds our wounds and unhealthy patterns of trauma; through connecting to your womb or hara, listening to her story, you begin to heal. This unique and powerful workshop will weave understanding into your experiences.

FREE Workshop: Awakening Calm - A Guided Buddhist Meditation

KADAMPA MEDITATION CENTRE

KMC Southampton will be showcased at the event through a free meditation workshop, offering a taster of how Buddhism can positively empower everyday life. One of the centre’s Buddhist teachers will be joining us on the day to guide this insightful session, sharing practical teachings rooted in compassion. KMC Southampton will also have a stall in our Blissful Market, where visitors can learn more about the centre’s work and how to get involved.

FREE workshop: The Flowing Movement of Qigong and Tai Chi

DAVID HUNT

This workshop will guide you through exploring some core principles drawn from the indigenous Chinese wisdom of Qigong and Tai Chi.  Come along and play with some gentle but unique movement that can enable you to unfold your unconscious neurodynamic and transpersonal self.  A way for you to safely explore both a physical and emotional stability.  Please bring flat comfortable footwear or socks.  If you are unable to stand comfortably for the duration of the workshop some of the exercises can be undertaken in a seated position.

FREE All day drop-in creative still life mindfulness workshop in the event's blissful market

STRIPY ART

Enjoy a relaxing Still Life Workshop led by the wonderful Sue from Stripy Art. Free to join and fully included in your event ticket. Sue will demonstrate how sketching can reduce anxiety by helping you slip into a meditative ‘flow’ state. Sketching can offer a real sense of purpose if you’re feeling lonely, and no experience is needed. Sue will give you the confidence to simply give it a go. A still life will be set up and all materials provided on the day, so you can drop in and discover the benefits of creativity.

MYSTICAL SOUL SANCTUARY

Take a sacred pause and immerse yourself in the healing vibration of the OM frequency. This calming and restorative group session helps to release stress, balance the nervous system, and bring deep inner harmony. Through breath awareness, guided relaxation and the soothing resonance of tuning forks, you’ll be invited to reconnect with stillness and peace within. No experience needed – simply come as you are and allow the sound to restore your energy and focus.

FREE Workshop: Yoga - Family Friendly

SEASHORE YOGA PHYSIO

Join a relaxed, family-friendly yoga workshop led by experienced practitioner Sue Eddy. SeashoreYogaPhysio sessions are kind and joyful; inviting effortless effort. Inclusive and accessible for all ages and abilities, the session uses gravity, breath and mindful movement to gently free the body and support harmony between heart, mind and body. Sue’s teaching integrates physiotherapy, acupuncture, Scaravelli-inspired yoga, Qigong, and mindfulness, blending ancient wisdom with modern science.

A limited number of mats are available - please bring your own if possible. Wear comfortable clothing and enjoy mindful movement together.

Come along and enjoy a free gentle, welcoming chair yoga session designed to help you unwind, reconnect and feel good in your body. This workshop offers simple, accessible movements paired with mindful breathing to release tension, improve mobility and promote relaxation. Chair yoga is practiced seated or supported by a chair, making it suitable for all bodies and abilities. Whether you’re new to yoga, returning after a break, or simply looking for a softer way to move, this session provides a calm and supportive space to reset and restore. No experience needed, just come as you are and enjoy the moment.

Join Caroline Hales for an introduction to EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) Tapping; a gentle yet powerful self-help practice that combines acupressure with focused awareness. EFT works by lightly tapping on specific meridian points on the face and body while tuning into challenging emotions such as stress or anxiety. Yasmin has over 12 years of experience in holistic massage, works directly with Wessex Cancer Support and has specialised training in oncology massage; she will provide invaluable insight at the event. Learn practical massage techniques and gain a deeper understanding of how gentle massage can improve comfort, emotional wellbeing and connection with your loved ones.

FREE Wellbeing Walk: Nature's Refresh

IOW RAMBLERS

Jenny, certified yoga teacher and Ramblers Walk Leader, will help you take the first step towards better health and happiness in the natural world. Walking offers us a chance to unwind, to become centred in ourselves, to let go and enjoy the moment as we focus on our surroundings: during this walk you will tune into nature and become immersed in nature's blessings that surround us. Once you're signed up for the walk, all you'll need to do to is to pop along to our gazebo outside the entrance of the event wearing comfortable shoes and you'll be guided from there. All ages are welcome.

A gentle wellbeing walk designed to support health, relaxation and connection as part of the event programme. This guided walk offers an opportunity to slow down, enjoy the surroundings and naturally connect with others while exploring parts of Cowes. Led by a trained and certified Walk Leaders Sandra and Serena, the route has been carefully planned over easy terrain and will be taken at a relaxed pace suitable for all abilities. Participants are invited to meet at the gazebo outside the event entrance wearing comfortable shoes, where they will be welcomed and guided from there. This walk provides a calm, supportive environment and a simple, enjoyable way to meet people while taking positive steps towards wellbeing.
